I am Dr. Roselyne Jeanne-Brou, passionate about reducing battery costs through both political and technical initiatives. I was elected by SCF members (French Chemical Society) to be a member of EuChemS (European Chemical Society), a position I have held since December 2023. In this role, I represent French chemists and bring their ideas to high-level events such as the European Parliament. I earned my PhD at the University of Grenoble (France) in 2022, focusing on ionic transport properties for solid polymer electrolytes in batteries. Subsequently, I worked in the manufacturing of lithium batteries, specializing in solid-state batteries and secondary life applications for e-mobility. I am currently leading the DiagnoCells project, which aims to reduce the economic and ecological costs of using Li batteries. Supported by BPI France (Banque Publique d’Investissement), our team includes a researcher from the IREENA laboratory at Nantes University and the President of NSI2 Consulting, located in Grenoble. We are developing a solution based on battery cycling in all types of electronic devices to determine a comprehensive state of health of batteries without removing them from their environment.
