Simon is a mechanical engineer with experience in design and engineering with an academic background in battery production and engineering. His academic focus lies on battery pilot production, leveraging innovation from lab scale to series production. By leading the Electromobility Laboratory, known as eLab, as well as Office for E-Mobility at RWTH Aachen over the last years, Simon built a strong academic and industry network to support R&D in the field. With the “E-Mobility Innovation Podcast”, he and his team have created a B2B podcast-format in which he shares expert and industry leaders’ views on E-Mobility and battery innovation. Recently Simon founded the spin-off ‘BETTERE’ (spoken as ‘battery’,) ,which stands for ‘better E-Mobility’, to support companies that are driving battery and E-Mobility innovation with his expertise and network.
