Dr. Erik Schuenemann got his diploma in Mechanical Engineering from RWTH Aachen University. After finishing his PhD at the Chair of Technical Thermodynamics, University of Erlangen, he worked at BMW Group, Munich, Germany, as Development Engineer for Gasoline Engine Thermodynamics, Calibration and Emissions and later took over responsibility for BMW Group Gasoline Engine Combustion System development. He then worked for BMW Group Powertrain Strategy. Since November 2015, Dr. Schuenemann is with Robert Bosch GmbH, where he is currently responsible for System Engineering of Vehicle Subsystems within Bosch Power Solutions Division. His responsibilities include SI engine combustion systems and emission concepts for passenger cars and light commercial vehicles.
