Discussions on New Energy – European Station | The 2024 Europe-China New Energy Vehicle Technology Conference Successfully Held in Frankfurt, Germany
Europe and North America are among the world’s top three largest markets for new energy vehicles. Canalys forecasts that new energy vehicle sales in Europe will reach 3.9 million units in 2024, accounting for a market share of 24%. Concurrently, China’s new energy vehicle exports to Europe account for nearly half of its total new energy vehicle export volume, making Europe a crucial destination for the overseas expansion of China’s new energy vehicle sector.
On November 7-8, 2024, the 2024 Europe-China New Energy Vehicle Technology Conference, co-organized by Automotive Technology Center (ATC) and EV GOVERSEAS, was successfully held in Frankfurt, Germany. The conference was comprehensive in scope, in-depth in topic discussions, significant in guiding implications, and well-received by the industry. Through the convening of this Europe-China New Energy Vehicle Technology Conference, a communication bridge was established between the European and Chinese new energy vehicle industry chains. It delved into the development trends of hot topics in the new energy vehicle sector, including policies, technologies, and markets, between China and Europe, opening up new opportunities for cooperation in the new energy vehicle industry between the two regions.
The conference brought together leading automotive companies such as BYD, Dongfeng Motor Corporation, Bugatti Rimac, Kia Europe, NIO, XPeng Motors, Great Wall Motors, Aston Martin, Jaguar Land Rover, Lotus, Mercedes-Benz Smart, and Togg, among others, for significant industry insights. Associations like European Automobile Manufacturers’ Association (ACEA), European Chemical Society, and Association of International Motor Vehicle Manufacturers e.V. (VDlK) provided industry analysis. The event attracted nearly 200 professional attendees, including representatives from EU government bodies, industry associations and institutions, vehicle manufacturers, powertrain manufacturers, and suppliers of electric motors, batteries, electric drives, and charging equipment in the new energy vehicle technology sector.
